Good day to you, Sir.
Good day, Shall we get on with this?

Shall we talk about how you came to be with the GCW?
I ended up in the GCW because years ago, I started something along with Mike Johnson. I say started but the thing was going when I got there. I guess you could say it was the start of fairness in there. The WWA was crooked as long as I was just around, not as a boss. It came to the point where I had the ideas and spoke to Mike Johnson about them and Mike liked the ideas although Mike's fellow bosses were not as happy with the ideas as Mike was, but still Mike made me a member of the creative team and I was onboard. Not long after I was given that job, the current president decided to take a walk because wrestlers were pissed at his crooked ways, Mike was pissed at his bent ways so off he went. Within a week, I've gone from creative staff to in character president as head of the Corporation. My money went in to the fed along with a lot of Mike's, we turned the place around, made it fair, people were happy until the old bosses came back with a legal case against us. I think after that, we knew the WWA was over and went to form a new federation, the GPW along with extra money coming in from Craig Suchodolski and later Casey Holcombe, we made the GPW in to something big, and we stuck with it all the way up to the merge where I ended up right here in the GCW.

Is "Hot Stuff" Mark Ward going into this business your idea?
No, not at all. He wanted spot light and went in the army for a while, his way of serving his country, but I think wrestling is in the blood and when he had all the career opportunities he could take when he left the Army, he did a lot of other stuff before he went in to wrestling. He went in to modeling and such but he always loved the spotlight, loved to be well known and when he spoke to me about maybe stepping in to wrestling, I hooked him up with Jordan Williams and he started training with him. Wrestling was his own choice.

How does it feel like to be the father of one of the most successful athlete in GCW history?
I'm very proud; Mark Jr. has gone on to do things both of us never thought possible. He's became a top star, well known, it's a proud feeling and great to see him go out there and entertain, go out there and be himself with the volume turned way up to the top. Every father is proud of their kids but to see your son make so many people happy, it's a good feeling, it's a rush.

Being the Co Owner of the now defunct WWA & now GCW. What's the difference between the two?
The difference is simply made by the guys who work for the GCW. The WWA had certain talents but now the GCW have a big roster and everyone is willing to work. Everyone has great creative plans. That's the thing I love most about the GCW. We work hard for everyone here and people work hard for us. That's one of the things that make the difference between the GCW and WWA. Here in the GCW, we have a lot more staff, we all work well together. We have four bosses, a vice president, someone running the women's division, a results writer, a designer, an editor for this. That's a lot more staff members then what we had in the WWA when it was just myself and Mike doing literary everything. The GCW is run a lot better then it was in the WWA. It's hard for just 2 guys to take care of an entire fed alone, but now the work is spread out and it's a lot more relaxed here then the WWA. Plus our ideas are a lot better now, the GCW is more creative and with the roster size, it gives us more choices and options.

Let us in a little on your history.
I'm originally from London, England; my family were just regular people, doing regular jobs. I went on to university, got a degree in Law. While I was at university, I met Mark's future mother. After about 6 months together, she fell pregnant with Mark and we were married a couple of years later. I started working after I left university for a local law firm, which grew a lot bigger over the years and I was offered the chance to move to America to start a partnership with another lawyer. Had a second son while in America who is five years younger then Mark called Steve after my father. I finally sold my half of the partnership and invested in the WWA and unfortunately my marriage ended and you know the rest.

Between Craig Suchodolski, Mike Johnson & Casey Holcombe, who would you, term as the best man to hold office with?
It's so hard to say to be honest. Mike and I go way back and had a lot of hard work to do together in the old WWA. Craig and I get on really well, especially when we're drinking and Casey is a lot like me when I started out. I think a few years ago I said Casey will definitely be so much like me in the future and more and more he's getting my temper. When I first met him, he wouldn't say boo to a goose and now he's another me, which isn't a bad thing. Craig has a lot of creative talent and Mike has a habit of taking things that are dodgy and making them look good. I can't say who I'd rather be in office with because it wouldn't be the same without any of them.

And whose's the worse?
There is no worse. My previous answer covers this question.

If you have a choice of 4 teams to work with; team 1- Eric Bischoff & Vince Russo. Team 2- Vince McMahon & Shane McMahon, team 3- Paul Heyman & Joey Style & team 4- Casey Holcombe & Craig Suchodolski. Which team would it be & why?
Casey and Craig because I feel they could come up with better stuff then the rest put together. People just look on them as fed bosses who write the results and make people happy, but the truth is creatively, these guys have it all. At times they come up with stuff that puts WWE to Shame. They come up with a lot of ideas that we don't use until we have the right people to work the angles. I don't feel that the others could really match up to these guys. It's my just opinion but I'd rather work with those guys.

There's been a surge in the amount of talent in GCW lately BUT a lot of the talents have also been no showing, what do you make of this situation?
I hate people like that. They take the time to get in touch with us, we take the time to make them feel welcome and hype them up all for nothing. I feel its time the GCW changed that with new rules. If a new guy misses their first promo, then I feel their contract with us should be terminated right away. I think that we should write that in to their contract. It's very frustrating for us who do all we can to entertain, to give people a chance and it gets thrown back in our faces. It's really irritating to go to this trouble and get nothing in return. We don't ask for a lot other then people cutting promos when they're meant to. How can we put together, something great together when people don't show up? I think it's time we toughened up on this problem to make the GCW a better place.

There were many great wrestlers in the WWA, GPW & ASFW, which three would you most like to have in the GCW today?
One from each, huh? From the WWA, I'd like to see The Undertaker back in a GCW ring. His rivalry with Steve Austin was the best the GCW had to offer and I would really like to see him pick up on a feud with someone else in the GCW, maybe The Rock when the thing with Adam Rich is over, or maybe with someone like Chris Jericho. I feel those guys can all work well together in one way or another. From the ASFW, I'd like to see maybe Austin Parker back in the GCW. I loved the things he did with Hot Stuff and Damien Diamond, even when he made an appearance to come help Hot Stuff but I would give a hell of a lot to see this man back in the ring full time. From the GPW, One man stands out in my mind and I'm sure the other bosses would agree is an amazing wrestler called Fusion. I'm sure a few remember Fuse and remember just how good he was. I have tried a few times and I know Craig has too to get this guy to come to the GCW but he is happy in retirement, which is a great loss to us at the GCW. I'd give a hell of a lot to get these three wrestlers in the GCW because they would only make the federation a lot better and give the world champion something extra to worry about.

Being an Englishman yourself, would you like to see more English wrestlers joining GCW?
Well we do have a few people from England in the federation, Maximum Damage, Paul Johnson, Logan Kaine, Shane Boswell and of course Hot Stuff but of course I would love to see more Brits wrestling for the GCW. A lot of people look at America and Canada for top wrestlers but England have a lot of talent that's been unseen in America. Guys like Kerry Caberero, Stevie Knight, and Danny Royal could make it big and someday, I'd like to see these guys competing along with other stars from England battling away here. England does have a host of talent and it would be cool to have more here in the spotlight.

Whatever happened to Shane Douglas, a one time color commentator for Mauling?
Things wasn't really working out with Shane, although I liked his witty commentary. You do have to remember that there is a lot of commentators out there who would like a job at a place like the GCW and it's down to us to use our discretion when it comes down selecting the best commentators for our show. Maybe we should have separate teams in the future and maybe Shane would be considered for that roll again. I wouldn't have any objections against that but with Heyman and Styles doing a great job, it would be crazy to take them off TV. We have to make the right business choice and that's why Shane was taken off the commentary side of things, but that doesn't mean we will never see the Franchise in a GCW ring again.

Is there really a dispute as portrayed in GCW shows between Mike Johnson & yourself & Casey Holcombe & Craig Suchodolski?
No, not at all. You have to remember our jobs are to bring entertainment to the fans and that's what entertainment is in the wrestling world, egos, rivalries and struggles. I have to admit, working those kind of angles are fun but over used, that's why all four of us are currently off television because we can make the GCW stronger from backstage. We make the cards, set up the running order and angles as a team, we have done for years but now we are concentrating on making the GCW stronger from behind the scenes and letting Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Chris Beniot worry about the other stuff. There has been times where we've had our problems with each other, tempers have raged and words have been exchanged and so on, but we're a team and we always sort stuff out to keep things going. As of now, we're great friends and that always helps.

Name a few of the talents in the GCW roster whom you think will be on the rise & why?
Looking at the new talents signed, I feel Travis Smith, Derrick Farrell and Lilandra all have what it takes. I'm looking for the women's division to really explode, so Lilandra could make it as a top women. Travis Smith has a ton of potential, just looking at the guy, you can tell he can really be something special here. Derrick Farrell looks like he could explode over the scene at any time. The guy looks like he can compete for the Television title, maybe moving up with ease over time. These are the three that the GCW should be looking for.

Thank you, Mr. Ward, for your time.
You're welcome, anything to help.
