I, Gerald Pearson am in euphoria. The GCW Tag-Team Division is flooded with great teams. Those of you who don’t know me, I love tag team wrestling. Tag Team wrestling is in my opinion the backbone of a great promotion. Back in the late 80s, WWE had great teams such as Demolition, British Bulldogs, Hart Foundation The Rockers, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, and some other great teams. In the late 90s and into the 2000s, they had teams like the Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz, APA, Edge & Christian, New Age Outlaws and others. Now, GCW has a tremendous division. Let’s examine it.

First, let’s start off with the current (as of press time) GCW World Tag Team Champions, “Beautiful” Billy James and Jordan Williams-Perfect Dynasty. Arguably, the most talented team to hold the tag team championships. Perfect Dynasty leads this loaded division. James and Williams have everything a tag team needs: chemistry, same gimmick, same look and a plethora of double team moves. They remind me of a modern day Midnight
Express-whom was the greatest tag team (in my opinion) to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring. Individually, they’re great, as a team they’re unstoppable. There is a reason why they are the World Tag Team Champions. They aren’t champions by fluke or by any other reason. Perfect Dynasty is the World Tag Team Champions because they are the BEST tag team in the world today. Until some other team beats them, no other team can lay claim to being called the best until they have those GCW World Tag Team Championships around their waists.

The second team is Blackout. Blackout consists of Vision Black members, Apocalypse and Shaq Daddy. These two have been going at it with Perfect Dynasty for the past month or so. I think Shaq Daddy needs to improve a lot more if they want to hang with the Perfect Dynastys and Kolossal Storms and the Life of the Party..

The next team we are going to talk about are the Dudely Brothers. I think some would agree with these two would win consistently and beat teams the more expierenced teams, they would be right up there among the best teams. They just need to “get over the hump” so-to-speak by beating the more expierenced teams. The Dudelys could do some damage if they improved a little bit more. Their time will come if they are willing to commit to being the best tag team instead of trying to form stables with people who don’t want associate with them. Focus is their main problem. I believe when they focus and improve a little bit more, the Dudelys could kick some major tail in GCW.

Kolossal Storm is the next tag team up on the block. These two are scary big. They have all the tools to be the best team; they just need to beat the top team. A feud with Perfect Dynasty would be great; because they are the only team whom I think could beat Perfect Dynasty. Even though they already lost to Perfect Dynasty, that loss left a bitter taste in their mouth and I can bet if they were to hook up again, Kolossal Storm could very well end up being the next World Tag Team Champions. Kolossus and
Miami Hurricane is definitely a force to reckon with in the tag team division.

Life of the Party is an interesting team. I’ve seen tapes of these guys training with Jordan Williams (I’m a journalist, I do my research) and they are amazing. Considering they’re drunk all the time, they are an excellent team. If they would just get their act together and get focused, this team could be the best team we’ve ever seen. Life of the Party has exceptional talent. Matt Grove and Shane Boswell certainly learned a great deal from their trainer, Jordan Williams. I will make this prediction right here and now. Life of the Party will be the best tag team we’ve ever seen in GCW. They’re not the biggest, but they will dominate this division in due time. I guarantee it. Life of the Party just scored a huge win over the next team I’m going to talk about, Maximum Damage.

Maximum Damage is the only team in this article that has been together as tag team since the merger, yet they have yet to hold the GCW World Tag Team Championships. Max Damage is one tough team. I’d hate to run into them in a dark alley. (Or they would prefer a bar) Maximum Damage can be World Tag Team Champions, but they keep suffering losses to some key teams, like their loss to Life of the Party at Revolution. However, if you sleep on Max Damage, they will beat you. Their time will come-when is the question.

The Rulers of the Ring is the new team to GCW. They are members of the Excellent Four. The Rulers of the Ring have a ton of potential as they are four time All Americans in wrestling, baseball and cross-country. They remind me of a mix between the Steiner Brothers and Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard. They have all the tools to be the best tag team, only time will tell, though.

Team Angle is the most technically sound team in GCW. I don’t think anyone could argue that point.
Shelton Benjamin is a former All American from the University of Minnesota in wrestling and track. Charlie Haas is too a former All American from Seton Hall. I think Team Angle has everything it takes to be the next World Tag Team Champions. Being associated with Kurt Angle can only help them. Be on the look out for Team Angle, because they can certainly win those belts. However, they suffered a setback when they lost to the next team I’m going to talk about, The Untouchables.

The Untouchables make no bones about it; they’re not going to out wrestle you. They will beat you in a fight. Dre and Marco Garcia are an undefeated tag team. I can see them winning the World Tag Team Championships, but they need to beat a team like Kolossal Storm and/or Maximum Damage. They seem to gel great together. Dre is the premiere cruiserweight in the business and is a great brawler while Marco Garcia is just a straight-ahead power wrestler and brawler. The Untouchables just need a high profile tag team feud and they’ll be fine.

There you have it. Any one of these teams can lead this division. I love what each team brings to the table and I’m really excited to see where this division is headed. Hopefully, it’s not in the toilet where it’s been for a while.
